On this free tour of Teguise we will get to know the main attractions of one of the oldest cities in Lanzarote. You will surely fall in love with its streets and colonial buildings.

Itinerary

We will meet in the Plaza Camilo José Cela at the indicated time and we will begin this guided tour of Teguise to get to know what was the first capital of Lanzarote.

Located in the northeast of the island, Teguise has an incredible historical heritage. We will start walking from this central square, where the City Hall and the Convent of Santo Domingo are located. Next, we will go to the Palace of the Marquis of Herrera y Rojas, the place of numerous lootings during the pirate raids on the island.

We will continue to learn about the history of the town as we cross the Callejón de la Sangre, which will lead us directly to the Plaza de la Constitución. Here we will see the Spinola Palace, located in an eighteenth-century manor house, and the church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, the emblem par excellence of Teguise.

To complete the free tour, we will walk through the Clavijo and Fajardo and Maciot squares in Bethencourt until we reach the Ico Palace, one of the most important and historic hotels in Teguise.

We will end the visit at the starting point two hours after the start.
