Welcome to Jameos del Agua! This magical place, located in the north of the island of Lanzarote, is one of the main tourist attractions on the island. Designed by the famous local artist César Manrique, Jameos del Agua is a complex of volcanic caves that has been transformed into a cultural and tourist center.

What to see in Jameos del Agua?

Inside one of the caves, you’ll find an auditorium with a capacity for 600 people. This space is used for concerts and other cultural events.

House of the Volcanoes

House of the Volcanoes: This interpretation centre offers information on volcanic activity in Lanzarote and the rest of the world. Here you can learn about the formation of the island and its unique geology.

Swimming pool

In the center of the complex, you will find a stunning swimming pool designed by César Manrique. Although swimming is not allowed, it is a perfect place to take photos.

Restaurant and Bar: Enjoy a meal or cocktail at the resort’s restaurant and bar, which offers stunning views of the cave and lake.

What makes Jameos del Agua unique?

Jameos del Agua is unique for its combination of natural beauty and artistic design. The volcanic caves, formed by the eruption of the Corona Volcano around 4,000 years ago, have been transformed by Manrique into a space that celebrates the beauty of Lanzarote’s nature. In addition, Jameos del Agua is home to a unique species of blind and albino crab, known as “jameito”. These small crabs, which can only be found in this place, are a symbol of Jameos del Agua and the importance of environmental conservation.

Schedules and Rates of Jameos del Agua

Jameos del Agua is open every day of the year. From November to June, the schedule is from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. From July to October, the schedule is from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The entrance fees are as follows:

If you prefer not to make the reservation online, no problem, you can also do it directly at the center. And for all those who ask us, to this day, there is no voucher that includes all the centers, so it is necessary to buy each ticket individually.
