Modalities
We have two options to best suit your needs and expectations. Each dive is approximately 40 minutes, and includes hotel pickup and drop-off:
Scuba diving baptism with a dive (2 hours)
If you are a little hesitant and not very sure if diving is for you, taking a first test dive may be the best way to get started in this world.
After a brief theoretical introduction on how to use the equipment and the basic techniques that you must apply, we will head to Jablillo Beach. We will enter the water and you will begin to breathe through your regulator, in a few seconds you will see how it really comes naturally to you.
We will start with our 40-minute dive and snorkel through this artificial bay with calm waters and full of life. You will have the opportunity to observe salemas, pejeverdes, spider crabs and even squid. The depth to which we will descend will not exceed 4 meters.
Timetable: Every day at 3:00 p.m., except Saturdays when it does not operate.
Scuba diving baptism with two dives (5.5 hours)
If a single dive is not enough for you and you want to experience diving more thoroughly, doing two dives will help you get a clearer idea of the wonders of this sport. For this option we will do the dives in Playa Chica, a great place to do this activity since it has very good visibility throughout the year.
We will start the day with a brief theoretical introduction in which you will learn how to use your equipment and other techniques such as how to communicate with the guide in the water. All this and much more will be put into practice during the two dives. The first one will be done at a maximum depth of 6 meters so that you get used to the environment and compensate for your ears. During the second, we will go down to a greater depth to a maximum of 12 meters.
Throughout these dives you should keep your eyes peeled for huge schools of sardines, tuna, salemas and many other fish. In addition, if we are lucky and fix our eyes on the bottom, we may be able to observe other species such as the angelshark shark and different types of manta rays.
Timetable: Every day at 9:00 a.m.
Hotel pick-up
Depending on the area in which your hotel is located and the method chosen, these will be the pick-up times:
- Costa Teguise: at 8:30 for the two-dive modality and at 14:30 for one dive.
- Arrecife and Playa Blanca: at 8:45 for the two-dive modality and at 14:30 for one dive.
- Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero: at 8:45 for the two-dive modality and at 14:45 for one dive.
Important
- After doing the activity, you must wait at least 24 hours before boarding a plane.
- Before booking you must read this document to check that you meet the requirements to do the diving. If on page 2 of the pdf you answer yes to any of the options, you must go to page 3. If you also answer something yes in this one, it means that you do not meet the requirements and we advise you not to book.
