Modalities

When booking your buggy tour of Guatiza and Mala you can opt for a 2 or 3 hour tour. In both cases, we will pick you up from your hotel in Lanzarote and go to the place where the buggies are parked. Are you ready for adventure?

2-hour tour

We will go up in the buggies and start the route along the dirt tracks of the town of Guatiza. This population reached a great economic boom in the nineteenth century thanks to the production of red cochineal. Do you know what this insect was used for? We will find out!

We will also see the quarries of Guatiza and then continue the tour through the north of Lanzarote heading to the salt flats of Los Cocoteros, whose origin dates back to 1940. Before concluding the route, we will see the cacti of the town of Mala, which will help us to continue deepening the agricultural tradition of this area of the island.

After two hours of travel, we will finish the buggy tour by dropping you back at your hotel.

3-hour tour

Do you want a longer tour? If you opt for the 3-hour buggy tour we will do the same route as in the previous modality and, in addition, we will approach the Mala dam, a construction in the Palomo valley that attracts attention for its vertiginous views of the Estanque ravine. You will be surprised!

Hotel pick-up

The tour includes pick-up from hotels in the following areas of Lanzarote: Arrecife, Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca. Pick-up will take place between 15 and 45 minutes before the start of the activity, depending on your location.
