Why visit the Aquarium of Costa Teguise?

Booking the entrance ticket to the Aquarium of Costa Teguise you will visit the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands. It has more than one million liters of water distributed in 33 spaces where hundreds of marine species can be observed.

Along the way, you will see from typical Canarian species, such as moray eels, bream, gilthead bream or fulas, to brightly colored tropical fish. In addition, there is also room for the king of the sea in the aquarium. You will encounter a variety of sharks in the underwater tunnel and in the central tank of 500,000 liters of water.

If you want to learn the most curious facts about the marine fauna, the Aquarium of Costa Teguise has 3 tactile aquariums. By touching the different screens you can learn more about some of the most unique species. For example, did you know that some sea cucumbers are filter feeders?

In addition to having fun with the visit, it is important to raise awareness about environmental education. The aquarium has a unique space, the trash aquarium, which recreates the current state of some nearby coasts. There is still time to save our seas from pollution!

The Aquarium of Costa Teguise is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. Please note that the last entry will be at 5:15 pm.
