1. Unforgettable sunsets

In Lanzarote it would be foolish to miss the magnetic experience of the sunset, which in the first weeks of summer occurs around 9:00 p.m.
No sunset is the same as another and on the island we can choose from an immensity of sensations: iridescent and wild on Famara beach; with port airs from the restaurant of the Castillo de San José, among fig trees and rofe (volcanic ash) in La Geria, before a snack on the maritime avenue of Arrecife or Playa Honda… But it is also nice to get lost on the roads of the interior of the island, stop wherever the sunset catches us and let this memory become part of our love story.

Lanzarote is a paradise for sportspeople and travelling as a couple offers unique opportunities to share this passion.
The bike is always a good option, whether your level is touring or if you practice this sport.
There is a network of lanes that leads you to discover a multitude of corners such as Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise… You can also take the leap to La Graciosa, an ideal island to discover it by pedal.
If you are into water sports, bring your surfboard because the waves come from all directions and on the northwest coast is one of the best spots in the world, El Quemao.
Another sports option in company is hiking through the unique natural landscapes of the island.
Get to know the inland villages, the paths and hills, the volcanic environments.

The saying goes that grapes with cheese taste like a kiss and the saying comes true in this magmatic land.

It is impossible not to be moved by a cuisine that mixes tradition and fusion that prioritizes local and fresh products.

This jewel of Canarian architecture is located within the historic-artistic complex of the town of Teguise and César Manrique included it in his book Lanzarote, arquitectura inédita (1973).
Surely waking up in a palace from 1690 predisposes you to get to know the local culture.
Hiking Lanzarote offers this July guided routes by experts in which you will learn about the culture of the jable (blanket of organic sand), the paleontological areas or the most impressive volcanic routes.
But perhaps there is a particularly magical visit because it leads to the seafaring heart of the island.
We are referring to the Salinas de Janubio, the oldest active salt flats in the Canary Islands where you can taste an excellent product that symbolises the landscape, ethnographic and environmental values of the island.
There is no better souvenir than a jar of flavored sea salt flower.

5. With you at the end of the world

Do you think it’s a cliché?
If you have chosen the island to come with your partner, you know that you really are in a landscape as beautiful as it is apocalyptic, of which César Manrique made a flag.
Few places offer so many and such impressive natural settings to immortalize your love in images: colored mountains, lava rivers, infinite viewpoints, kilometric beaches… Eat in one of the restaurants in the town of El Golfo, on black sand pebbles; get to know the Mirador del Malpaso, with a unique panoramic view of Haría and its Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees, reproduce Almodóvar’s embrace in the Charco de los Clicos or look for the perfect frame of you and your partner in the Jameos del Agua.
